Friends from Garden Grove recommended this restaurant to me, so I decided to try it with a visiting friend. First, I noticed the cute outside area, which has seating when it's not winter. We entered the restaurant and were immediately greeted and seated at the back by some lovely wall decor. The table was clean with protective paper and dining sets. Our server Ryan was polite and kindly provided recommendations from the menu, along with waters with lemon and beer. We ordered the crab cheese wontons to start, and they were delicious! The wontons were crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside, and paired perfectly with the sweet and sour sauce. For entrées, I got the spicy basil shrimp pasta and my friend got the grilled salmon with yellow curry and rice. The spaghetti noodles were coated in chili and oil with fresh pepper slices and a generous serving of finely chopped shrimp bits. The curry was salty with just the right amount of spice to go with the soft salmon chunks. Finally, we finished our meal with a scoop of high quality vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, which really hit the spot. Nikki, the owner of the restaurant, came by constantly to refill our waters and ask if we needed anything else. Excellent food and service, plus lively K-pop music! I had a great experience and will definitely be coming back here to try more dishes. :)

LOCATION: Brookhurst/Slater PARKING: Relatively small-medium sized lot, not difficult at all WHAT WE ORDERED: * Thai sausages ($11.95) * Pad Thai w/ chicken ($13.95) * Drunken noodles w/ pork, medium spicy ($13.95) Super delicious Thai food at such an affordable price point! The restaurant may look small, but the inside is surprisingly spacious, clean, and sleek. The staff were all lovely, beginning from the moment we walked in, all the way to us paying the bill. We started with the Thai sausages. It was the perfect appetizer size. Regarding taste, it was nothing extraordinary, but I'm glad I had something to chew on before receiving our entrees. The Pad Thai was modestly sweet but still savory. No complaints there. The real star of the night was the drunken noodles. When ordering, they ask what spice level you want your dish. As a spice lover, I usually opt for a medium spice as a good starting point. Let me tell you -- they do NOT play around with their spice! The medium spice had my nose constantly running and desperately sipping and savoring my water because I was scared I wouldn't have enough. Safe to say, my boyfriend has never seen me struggle with spice so badly, lol. There's also a little basket with vinegar, chili oil, and other spices (which I did add to my dish because I loveeee the extra flavor). I am looking forward to my next visit to Thai on Fire because I had such an exceptional experience with their delectable dishes.

This unassuming, hole-in-the-wall restaurant offers some of the best Thai food I've ever had. Despite its modest exterior, the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. I ordered the boat noodle, and it was one of the best I've had in the area - rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The Penang curry and pineapple fried rice were also good, though pretty comparable to other Thai places around the area. What really sets Thai on Fire apart is the exceptional service. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that every guest feels welcome and well taken care of. They were more than happy to accommodate special requests and provided excellent recommendations. Overall, Thai on Fire is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Thai cuisine in a cozy, unpretentious setting. It's definitely worth a visit, and I can't wait to return and try more of their amazing dishes as their menu is pretty extensive. Overall: 8/10

I visited Thai On Fire Aug 2024, and it left a great impression! The restaurant is very clean and elegantly decorated. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, making the dining experience even better. The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes, some of which you won't find at other Thai restaurants, which was a nice surprise. Here's what we ordered: 1. Drunken Noodles with Chicken - The noodles were flavorful and cooked well. Definitely a solid dish. Rating: 4.3/5 2. Crispy Trout with Apple Salad Sauce - This dish was fried perfectly, crispy on the outside, and the apple salad sauce was the perfect complement. Rating: 4.5/5 3. Thai Sausages - These sausages were tasty and had great seasoning. Rating: 4.2/5 The restaurant also has a cute little garden and seating area by the entrance, which is really pretty in the evening with the lights. It adds a nice touch to the overall ambiance. I definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area. My Personal Rating : 4.54 Food 4.4/5 Service 4.8/5 Price 4.4/5 Ambiance 4.5/5 Cleanliness 4.6/4
